NZ Winters call for more grip in the mud

25 March, 2015

They’re called all-terrain vehicles for a reason. ATVs are designed for all types of terrain, from rocks to mud to sand to snow and therefore need tyres that can handle the challenging & varied New Zealand conditions.

The BKT W207 has been designed for work in steep muddy conditions and is ideally suited for use on both quad bikes and side-by-side vehicles. It has proven itself exceptionally popular amongst NZ farmers who are often faced with the issue of poor traction or constant punctures.

The range of BKT W207 tyres have a 6 ply rating and are manufactured with a reinforced casing making for very strong tyres with excellent puncture resistance. Unlike many competing brands which are often only 4 ply rated, the 6 ply rating and reinforced casing result in the W207 offer an increased load capacity. The aggressive large shoulder knobs wrap down the sidewall to provide excellent side bite where it is most needed in muddy and particularly rutted conditions.  An added bonus of this design is the increased sidewall strength, eliminating sidewall failures. The deep tread and open wing design provides excellent self-cleaning properties to prevent the tread becoming clogged with dirt, allowing for maximum traction in any condition. The specially formulated natural rubber compound is designed to achieve maximum traction without sacrificing the tread life of the tyre.

Manufactured in India, BKT has been growing rapidly internationally as one of the world leaders of off-highway tyres. BKT has the widest product range with more than 2000 SKU's (Stock Keeping Units) and is "One Stop Shop" for all off-highway tyre solutions.
