Spraying is a crucial phase in farming and needs to be performed perfectly to achieve optimal results. During operations the soil must be preserved from compaction despite the weight of the equipment. BKT have specifically designed a range of tyres to ensure best performance and profitability specifically for spraying applications.
With technology ever evolving in farming, the demands on agricultural machinery keep growing. As machinery gets larger with increased capabilities, farmers are also more aware of the impact the correct tyre can have on farm productivity and profitability.
With this in mind, Michelin have released a new evolution of their CargoXBib agricultural trailer tyre designed to optimise performance across demanding applications. The CargoXBib Heavy Duty tyre has been developed for farmers using intensively loaded agricultural trailers both on the road and in the field while the High Flotation model incorporates Ultraflex technology harnessing the benefits of soil preservation.
Working on hard surfaces such as asphalt or concrete will wear tyres out quicker than soft or loose surfaces such as sand or grass. Advances in tyre technology use design and construction features to combat the issue of wear and increase tyre life.
Skid steer service is extremely demanding on tyres, the machinery and its operator. Michelin are targeting these issues head-on with the latest innovation to the skid steer tyre market – the Bibsteel All-Terrain radial range.
Tyres play a crucial role in the safety and productivity of port logistics. With the right tyre, machinery can operate at its optimum level guaranteeing the maximum stability in heavy load handling which improves the safety of its personnel.
With the National Fieldays at Mystery Creek only weeks away, TRS Tyre & Wheel will be showcasing new tyres to combat soil compaction from leading Tyre manufacturers BKT and Michelin, on site number B53.
Michelin has introduced its new YieldBib agricultural tyre for high horse powered tractors and rowcrop machinery. As machinery gets heavier and crops get tougher, Michelin as a company aims to reduce field compaction with help from a wide footprint on its YieldBib radial tyre range.
126 hectares of barren desert with a handful of withered and windswept shrubs. No water, no electricity. - This is how the area looked like, where BKT has created in a few years a real showpiece out of nothing thanks to a 500-million-US dollar investment: a self-contained production plant representing the state of the art for both industrial equipment and infrastructures and facilities for employees.
Michelin is offering farmers access to an easy-to-use mobile application that features a number of unique functionalities. With the MICHELIN Pressure Calculator, real-time agricultural tire pressure information is just a photo and a couple of clicks away.
Large mines are heavily reliant on a range of heavy wheeled equipment to extract and cart materials and every hour they are out of service adds hugely to the running costs. The severe conditions these large machines operate in take their toll on large and expensive earthmover tyres.
Skid Steer service is extremely demanding on tyres. Extra thick sidewalls, chip & tear resistant compounds and rim guard protection are just a few of the special features built into the new BKT Giant Trax range.
When it comes to working tractors on hill slopes and rugged terrain, the best option is Dual Wheels for the combination of extra flotation, traction and stability to get you places safely and with minimal soil damage.
They’re called all-terrain vehicles for a reason. ATVs are designed for all types of terrain, from rocks to mud to sand to snow and therefore need tyres that can handle the challenging & varied New Zealand conditions.
Farmers purchasing Michelin premium agricultural tyres are the winners in an aggressive move recently announced by the NZ distributor of Michelin agricultural Tyres TRS Tyre and Wheel. BKT Agrimax Teris has been specifically designed for the purpose of supporting
farm machinery where resistance, flotation properties, and reduced soil
compaction are essential features.
The Teris range with excellent flotation properties that protect the
soil can also withstand heavy loads delivering top performance. The
extraordinary traction and stability from the lug design and reinforced
shoulder are stand out features amongst harvester tyres. Sizes released in the
Agrimax Teris range are 620/75R26, 750/65R26, 620/75R30, 650/75R32, 800/65R32,
900/60R32, 1050/50R32 and 520/85R42.
BKT has recently added to the range
with the release of a new size in an “IF” (increased flexion) version: 580/80R34.
By introducing the “IF” technology in the Agrimax Teris line-up, BKT has aimed
at placing at the specialist operators’ disposal a tyre with a large footprint
on the ground, in addition to high load capacity at lower pressures compared to
a standard tyre of the same size increasing productivity.
Moreover, in view of the particular
operating conditions for farm machinery for hay & silage producers, BKT has
reinforced the sidewall for improved resistance against damages such as those
caused by stubbles on the field which reduces downtime and operating costs. The
reinforced casing structure ensures improved stability and handling.
Particular attention has been paid to
the comfort of the operator, who is exposed to considerable stress while
harvesting. Agrimax Teris IF 580/80R34 distinguishes itself for being a
“comfortable” tyre, which is able to make an effective contribution to the
