With technology ever evolving in farming, the demands on agricultural machinery keep growing. As machinery gets larger with increased capabilities, farmers are also more aware of the impact the correct tyre can have on farm productivity and profitability. With this in mind, Michelin have released a new evolution of their CargoXBib agricultural trailer tyre designed to optimise performance across demanding applications. The CargoXBib Heavy Duty tyre has been developed for farmers using intensively loaded agricultural trailers both on the road and in the field while the High Flotation model incorporates Ultraflex technology harnessing the benefits of soil preservation.

When compared with the previous generation of trailer tyres, the Michelin CargoXBib Heavy Duty tyres stand out thanks to its versatility making it the perfect implement for on road and in the field work. The robust tyre carcass and ‘tripod’ tread pattern have been especially designed to optimise longevity and driver comfort on roads. In fields, the Michelin CargoXBib Heavy Duty tyre stands out thanks to its excellent slope handling and its high load capacity (of up to almost 8330 kg by tyre).  The tyre clearing system has been improved and can be three times faster than for the previous generation of Michelin CargoXBib tyres.

Additionally, the new CargoXBib High Flotation tyre with Ultraflex technology has been developed for trailers carrying heavy loads but requiring less impact on the soil. The innovative Ultraflex casing allows this tyre to run as low as 0.8 bar for maximum soil protection and increased productivity. Its unique tread pattern reduces rolling resistance while still providing excellent grip on side slopes.

As global leaders in Agricultural tyre technology, Michelin tyres offer a compelling cost of ownership when all factors are considered.  Michelin pioneered Ultraflex technology which allows tyres to work effectively on and off road at less than 1 bar pressure resulting in lower ground pressure and reduced soil compaction.  In some instance users report that Ultraflex technology is the difference between being able to cultivate and being parked up.  Michelin Ultraflex technology is also available in Xeobib, Axiobib and Cerexbib ranges.

“The extended CargoXBib range now offers farmers three unique tread patterns to choose from each optimised for their specific application and size”, says Andrew Gillam, Sales & Marketing Manager for TRS Tyre & Wheel. “The addition of Michelin’s Ultraflex Technology allows the High Flotation version to be run at incredibly low pressures notably reducing soil compaction and therefore enhancing yields.”
